Where to watch Fourth of July fireworks in the Reno-Tahoe area

RENO

Biggest Little Fireworks Show

  • Where: Greater Nevada Field

  • When: On July 4 after the Reno Aces vs. Sacramento River Cats game. The fireworks will take place after the game, which begins at 6:35 p.m.

  • Cost: Admission to the game ranges from $23-$55, but fireworks can be seen from outside the stadium.

American Salute

  • Where: Wingfield Park, Downtown Reno

  • When: July 4 after the Reno Phil Orchestra and Chorus performance, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks are the begin around 9:30 p.m.

Damonte Ranch

  • Where: Damonte Ranch Park, 1950 Steamboat Parkway

  • When: July 4, live entertainment to run from 4:00 p.m. with a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.

SPARKS 

Star Spangled Sparks

  • Where: Victorian Square, Sparks

  • When: July 4. Festivities including food, beverages, arts and crafts booths and live music will begin around 4:00 p.m., before the fireworks will be set off from the roof of Nugget Casino at 9:45 p.m.

  • Cost: Free

    LAKE TAHOE

  • Kings Beach

  • Where: King's Beach State Recreation Area

  • When: July 3, vendors, food and music to start around 7 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 9:30 p.m.

  • Cost: Free, but limited preferred seating tickets are available for $25/seat

Tahoe City

  • Where: Commons Beach in Tahoe City

  • When: July 4 at 9:30 p.m.

  • Cost: Free

    Crystal Bay

  • Where: Fireworks are set off from Incline Beach, but can be seen from around Incline Village and Crystal Bay

  • When: Around 9:30-10 p.m.

  • Cost: Free

South Shore

  • Where: The fireworks are set off from South Shore but can be seen all over South Lake Tahoe. Best views are from the lake itself, Nevada Beach, Timber Cove Marina and Lakeside Beach.

  • When: Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. on July 4.

  • Cost: Certain beaches may require parking fees.

    VIRGINIA CITY

  • Where: 86 S. C St., Virginia City

  • When: Festivities take place all day. A parade is at noon with a concert at 6 p.m. and fireworks to begin around 9 p.m.

  • Cost: Free

    TRUCKEE 

    Donner Lake

  • Where: West End Beach on Donner Lake

  • When: July 4, beach gates will open at 9 a.m., with music and games to follow at 1:30 p.m. and fireworks to begin at 9:30 p.m.

  • Cost: $6 for Truckee residents. Non-residents will not be allowed inside West End Beach but can view fireworks from outside and around the lake.
